Video tutorial on how to move data to new locations using symbolic linking.


This will teach you how to move virtually any folder (caches is what I moved) to a drive other than the system drive or to a flash drive (as I did) by creating a symbolic link in the file system that makes Windows think that nothing was ever moved. The video is actually on how to move World of Warcraft's data cache off an SSD and onto a spin drive, but this method works with just about any folder. Use caution, though. If you make a mistake, you are up a creek... Be sure to make a system backup (not a restore point, but a partition image) before you do this!
