Welcome to the Rules Manager Code Share page. Use the comments section below as a space to share your exported rule codes from your Rules Manager.

To export rules from the manager, on the rules manager tab in WM3, click the button that looks like two brackets ({ }) on the rule you wish to export. This button also has the mouseover text of "Show Source". A popup will appear with the code contents of that rule and all its children. You can now copy and paste that code to share with your friends.

Why not paste and share below?

To import a rule to the manager, on the rules manager tab in WM3, click the button at the top that looks like ({->}), two brackets with an arrow going into them. This button also has the mouseover text of "Import Rule". A popup will appear with a blank text box. Paste the rule data into that box and tell it ok. This will create a new top level rule and it will begin working immediately.

  • Remember, any rule using the onIdentify action will only work on new incoming posts, or all posts that are reidentified using the "reID Post" button, which looks like an eye. This button is available on each post's toolbar, as well as the upper collector toolbar, as "reID All". Refreshing the page will also force a reID of all incoming and redrawn posts.

User Created Rules

I'll be occasionally adding some really good ones to the page document itself. To get you started, here is one I helped develop with Ann, a WM donator.

Cooldown Timer

This rule creates a timer which helps prevent like-banning by FB. The timer runs for 3 hours (10800000ms) and then pauses the collector. After another 45 minutes (2700000ms), the collector is again enabled. This helps users who make use of the autoLike feature in Wall Manager, in that it decreases the number of likes your account is creating in a 4 hour period. You may need to modify the numbers to suit your needs, as the number of likes you are making is dependent on the number of posts you are fetching and processing.

  • As a starting rule of thumb, set yours up to like less than 1500 posts in a 4 hour period.
  • Remember that WM pulls X number of posts at once per your Fetch Newer/Fetch Older values in the options menu. It fetches that quantity per direction and per app feed that is enabled. In addition, it also pulls that number from your own wall for each app, but is more likely to run out faster when dealing with W2W posts sent from friends. If you have it set to 10 and play 2 games, and fetch 10 new posts every 3 minutes, then you are potentially liking 400 posts an hour +/- what's on your W2W lists. Double that if you fetch older posts in the same fashion. It can get out of hand quickly.
  • I suggest autolike-ing only items you sent to your friends, to reduce the quantity a bit. WM3 should only autolike those that are marked accepted. Who likes a failure?

Another Auto-like Cooldown Timer

This rule temporarily disables the autolike feature, but does not stop collecting posts. It makes use of some newer beta commands which were unavailable when I posted the last cooldown timer. It also makes use of newer time input types which were added for those people who don't like doing math from hours to milliseconds.

What it does is enables autolike on startup. After 2 hours, it turns it off. Two hours later, it turns it back on. Repeats indefinitely. Any time you refresh the browser WM is running in, it will start over at ON. If you are a mass-liker, this still may be unsuccessful at keeping you from being like-banned.
